How to SSH to a Device

If you need to login to your devices remotely, you can use ssh to do this. SSH is a network protocol that provides a secure way to access a remote computer or device.

Please note you cannot ssh from within your network. The firewall rules prohibit this.

To ssh, first find the IP address and password for the device. You will find this in your Cucumber portal.

Once you have this, open a terminal - if you're a linux or Mac user, this will be installed by default. If you're a Windows user, please download and install a client like Putty.

The username is always root.

ssh root@192.168.3.104

You will be prompted to enter your password. If you are not, please check you can ping the device.

Any changes you made on the device may be over-written by Cucumber.
