Creating a Splash Network

A splash network is a network with a splash page assigned to it. You can set up a splash network in the following ways:

  • Creating a New Splash Network
    This method involves creating a new network with splash page enabled, which will generate a default passworded splash page for you.
  • Creating a New Splash Page With a New Network
    This method involves creating a new splash page and then assigning this to an automatically created new network.
  • Creating a New Splash Page For an Existing Network
    This method involves creating a new splash page and then assigning this to an existing network.
  • Adding an Existing Splash Page to an Existing Network
    This method involves adding an existing splash page to an existing network.

Creating a New Splash Network

This method involves creating a new network with splash page enabled, which will generate a default passworded splash page for you.

Head into your location in the dashboard and click on Networks.

Click on the blue cross icon to create a new network. A popup will appear allowing you to name your network, and decide whether you want it open or passworded.
Make sure you enable to Captive Portal switch before clicking Create.

A default splash page will be generated for you. Click on Splash on the left sidebar.

Click the action button to the right of your new splash page and you will see the options to Edit, Design and Delete your new splash page. 
You can now continue with customising the splash page to your needs.

Creating a New Splash Page With a New Network

This method involves creating a new splash page and then assigning this to an automatically created new network.

Head into your location in the dashboard and click on Splash.

Click the blue cross icon and select what access type you want to use, and name your network.

Tick the box labelled " Create a new SSID" and then provide a new name for your SSID before clicking Create. This will create a new open network for you.

Click the  action button to the right of your new splash page and you will see the options to EditDesign and Delete your new splash page.

You can now continue with customising the splash page to your needs.

Creating a New Splash Page For an Existing Network

This method involves creating a new splash page and then assigning this to an existing network.

Head into your location in the dashboard and click on  Splash.

Click the  blue  cross icon and select what  access  type you want to use, and name your network.

Select which network you want to apply this splash to using the provided dropdown field before clicking Create.

Click the action button to the right of your new splash page and you will see the options to EditDesign and Delete your new splash page.

You can now continue with customising the splash page to your needs.

Add an Existing Splash Page to an Existing Network

This method involves adding an existing splash page to an existing network.

Head into your location in the dashboard and click on  Splash.

Click on the  action  button to the right of the splash page you want to set to enable on a network, and select  Edit.

At the top right of the page click on the  action  button and select the  Networks option.

Select the network you want to enable this splash page on by selecting it, then clicking update.
You can now continue with customising the splash page to your needs.
